In a moment of great and wonderful love

There came in an instant a gift from above

A few months later, we found out with great joy

That the love we conceived was going to be a boy

We will never forget the first time we heard your heart beat

Not wanting to stop listening to the sound that made us feel complete

We bought toys, a bed, and clothes of blue

Then decorated your room with a love so true

To feel you kick and move felt so great

For the time you would come, we could hardly wait

But sadly came time when we had to mourn

When we learned our precious baby had been Heavenborn

Through the pain and sorrow we felt our hearts tear

All because we loved you beyond compare

We were thankful for those who came by, and those who would pray

And for God’s promise that we would see you in Heaven someday

There is a place we forever hold you in our heart

Always we loved you Evan, from the very start
